A video of Dalai Lama kissing a small boy on the lips and asking him to ‘suck his tongue’ created a stir on social media. After facing a severe backlash, the spiritual leader of Tibet has now issued an apology. He tweeted, 'His Holiness wishes to apologize to the boy and his family, as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his words may have caused.' The note further says that although Dalai Lama often teases people he meets innocently and playfully, he 'regrets' the incident. Meanwhile, many reacted to the incident. Among them was actor Ssumier Pasricha, who dropped a video condemning the act and wrote, 'Not Acceptable no Matter what … who you are.'
