We’ve been hearing this week about the poor treatment of migrants when they arrive on the shores of England. Many of those entering the country are children - some have been trafficked, taken away from their parents for exploitation and abuse. Those who are taken in by the authorities enter the care system. But a BBC London investigation has found increasing numbers of child trafficking victims are disappearing from care in the capital, with some youngsters saying they have to ‘go missing’ in order to survive.
